What is Flexi-Orb?
The Flexible Energy Oversight Registration Body (Flexi-Orb) is an installation standards scheme for renewable technologies. It is the first scheme of its kind to be recognised by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17067:2013 and aims to drive up installation standards within the green industry for the benefit of domestic consumers.
The Scheme is accredited to ISO/IEC 17065:2012 within the scope of our Certification Bodies, who operate the Scheme on our behalf.
By choosing a Flexi-Orb Certified Installer consumers can be assured that their installation will be carried out by a qualified, competent professional and that they will have appropriate protection in place should something go wrong.
We recognise that the world of renewable energy can be a challenging environment for consumers, and we aim to simplify the homeowners’ journey before, during, and after installation.

What technologies does the scheme cover?
Our installers are certified to carry out and register Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Electrical Energy Storage System (EESS), and/or Electric Vehicle Charge Point (EVCP) installations. In addition to this, we are currently working on adding Heat Pumps to our Installation Scheme and installers will be able to become certified to install this technology in 2026.
