A renewable energy installation is a significant investment and so whilst it can be a rewarding and responsible choice – improving comfort levels, helping you contribute to a sustainable future, and often with savings benefits – before you invest your hard earned cash it’s important you make sure your installer is certified and will provide you with appropriate protection.

Certified Installers
All Flexi-Orb Certified installers undergo a rigorous vetting process to gain their certification which includes an on-site assessment to ensure their compliance with our Flexi-Orb Installation Scheme.
They are also subject to up to five additional on-site assessments annually to ensure they remain compliant.
Installer Monitoring
Every consumer registered with us is given the opportunity to rate and review their installer. This helps us monitor the installer’s customer satisfaction rating and highlights any issues or areas for improvement.
We can also review your quote or performance estimate to confirm the figures you have been provided with are accurate.
Consumer Help & Advice
Whatever your query or concern, Flexi-Orb is always on hand and happy to offer help and guidance to all consumers. If we do not know the answer, we will be able to put you in touch with someone who does!

Insurance Backed
Guarantees (IBGs)
Where applicable, you will have an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) in place. An IBG backs your installer’s workmanship warranty and provides you with protection should the installer cease to trade.
Alternative Dispute
Resolution (ADR)
Every domestic customer registered on the Flexible Energy Register will have free access to a dispute resolution service, in the event of a complaint that cannot be resolved amicably between the installer and the customer.
Smart Export
Guarantee (SEG)
A Flexi-Orb Registration Certificate offers you the ability to sign up to an export tariff with an energy provider, so that you can receive payments for any excess energy you generate (but do not use) and export back to the Grid.
What Products Do We Cover?
Our installers are certified to carry out and register Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Electrical Energy Storage System (EESS), and/or Electric Vehicle Charge Point (EVCP) installations. In addition to this, we are currently working on adding Heat Pumps to our Installation Scheme and installers will be able to become certified to install this technology in 2025.

Can I get my existing installation certified?
Unfortunately not – while we did allow for installations to be recommissioned and registered under our beta service – under our Installation Scheme, only installations completed by Flexi-Orb Certified installers can be registered on the Flexible Energy Register.
My PV system is over 50kW - can that be registered?
The Flexi-Orb Installation Scheme covers installations up to and including 50kW only.
