Scheme Governance Policy
Certi-fi Schemes Limited aims to improve the quality and safety of the installation of renewable energy products through the Flexi-Orb certification scheme. Our objective is to ensure that the Scheme is robust and impartial, ensuring the trust and confidence of consumers, industry, government, and stakeholders. The Scheme is designed in accordance with ISO/IEC 17067:2013 and we are committed to continually develop and improve the Scheme.
Our governance mechanism is anchored through our Board and is designed to deliver an impartial, robust, and consistent certification scheme.
Certi-fi is committed to ensuring impartiality, independence, transparency, consistency, and fairness, and avoiding any conflict of interest.
Scheme Governance is delivered via the following:
- A Scheme Working Group (SWG), with responsibility for the continuous monitoring, development, and improvement of the Scheme.
- A suite of Scheme documents (standards, policies, procedures, templates) to enable the SWG, Certi-fi staff and the Board to define scheme requirements, provide guidance to all stakeholders, facilitate regular review, and manage changes and improvements as the scheme develops.
- An Impartiality Committee, with responsibility for ensuring the Scheme is designed and operated to ensure fairness and consistency for all stakeholders.
- The Flexi-Orb Risk Registers, to enable the Impartiality Committee, Certi-fi staff, and the Board to record and mitigate all risks to impartiality and conflicts of interest as they are identified.
- An annual Formal Scheme Review conducted by the Flexi-Orb Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Ad hoc Scheme Reviews conducted by the SLT as and when urgent changes are needed.
