Blue Flame Certification (BFC)
BFC is a UKAS Accredited Certification Body and TrustMark Scheme Provider who have been offering certification services in the Gas, Oil, Electrical, Solid Fuel, Building Services, Renewable Technologies and Building Energy Efficiency fields since 2004. From its early roots in the certification of individuals in the gas, plumbing, electrical and renewables sectors, we moved into the certification of businesses who install energy efficiency measures (EEM’s) . In 2014 we became one of only Certification Bodies in the first round of UKAS Accreditations to be approved for all the EEM’s in PAS 2030 for the then Green Deal Scheme. This progressed to approval as a Competent Person Scheme by the Department of Communities & Local Government (now the Building Safety Regulator) to offer our customers the mechanism to notify, where necessary, the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) of the EEM’s they had installed, along with other work as well.
A BFC Approval has assisted our installers to be able to participate in many funded schemes over the years, including Green Deal, Energy Company Obligation (ECO), Green Homes Grant and the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) to name a few. Our constant evolution has focused on supporting our customers with a ‘One Stop Shop’ and this continues with the exciting new Flexi-Orb Scheme – continuing to help with the UK’s drive towards Net Zero and decarbonisation.
